2019 is going to be an exciting year for Adventure Bike lovers. With major manufacturers releasing at least one model each this year, there’s going to be a lot of eye candy (bikes) on the roads this year.
Here are some of the top releases of the year:
BMW R1250 GS/R1250 GS Adventure
This bike has to be in the number one spot. BMW bikes have dominated the market for years. The 1254cc mode will surely follow suit! The bike is similar to the normal version, but the engine has been replaced for a better, more powerful one. It has much more to offer in terms of capacity. BMW’s ShiftCam variable valve timing and lift system is one to look out for.
Triumph Scrambler 1200
If this was a list for the most visually appealing bike, the Triumph Scrambler would be in the number one spot. This bike hits the perfect balance between vintage styling and high-spec gear combined with modern technology.
The old air-cooled Scrambler model was more about style than performance. This 900cc model is a road-going machine that’s supposed to ride like a dream on rough tracks too.
KTM 790 Adventure
Competing head on with the latest Tenere and BMW F850 GS, the KTM model is another bike built for offroading. It’s a KTM after all! It surely will give riders the best experience.
Similar to the 790 Duke in many ways, the KTM incorporates WP suspension and lightweight steel frame. This bike comes in at a whopping $14000 and over.
Yamaha Tenere 700
Yamaha had created hype about this bike for years now. With many prototypes being revealed, this bike is finally ready to enter the market. Though a middleweight adventure bike, it packs a punch. The bike is fitted with the engine of the MT-07 to aid the offroading experience.
Moto Guzzi V85TT
Guzzi hasn’t come out with such a bike for years now. Most of their bikes seem to fall flat in terms of popularity, but this year the Moto has gained a lot of attention. Comfortably sitting in the middleweight category, this bike is in competition with many other big manufacturers. Due to the air cooled engine and shaft drive, the company has managed to set itself apart from the completion. These features are what made the BMW bikes so popular amongst the riding community.
The unique styling will surely help drive up the sales too. The price hasn’t yet been disclosed, but it’s most likely going to be cheaper than the competition.
